Our client, a leading European investment platform is looking for a Senior investment oversight. The role will be responsible for providing independent oversight of external and internal investment management activities, helping to ensure that appropriate governance, risk management and regulatory standards are maintained.

Working as part of an experienced oversight team, the successful candidate will interact with investment professionals, operational teams, legal advisers, senior management and other stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions:

• Lead and coordinate reviews of investment management arrangements, including initial assessments, periodic reviews and ongoing monitoring.
• Assess investment managers against defined risk, governance, operational and regulatory criteria.
• Review performance, controls, policies, procedures and other relevant information to identify potential risks, weaknesses or areas requiring further investigation.
• Maintain appropriate records of oversight activity, conclusions, actions and follow-up.
• Prepare clear management information, analysis and reports for governance forums and senior management.
• Develop productive working relationships with investment managers and internal stakeholders.
• Act as a subject-matter contact for investment oversight matters across the organisation.
• Monitor developments in applicable regulation and industry practice and assess their implications for existing processes.

• Support the implementation of technology and data solutions designed to improve oversight, reporting and control processes.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and control documentation.
• Promote continuous improvement, automation and effective use of data across the function.

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Law or another relevant discipline.
• Approximately 6+ years' relevant experience within financial services, asset management, investment oversight, risk, compliance, governance or a related advisory environment.
• Experience working with investment managers, delegated service providers or other third parties is highly desirable.
• Experience operating within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues and assess their significance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex matters clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data, reporting, automation or workflow tools would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity and analytical tools would be an advantage.
